I liked the picture of the soldier and the afghanistan man too. I was very touching, it made you feel this feeling, like a person you knew very well had to leave. I think this quote means that the truth is the best thing we can give to people because if we lie they may stay the same which is bad for them. So the best thing we can do for a person is to tell them the truth even if it hurts them because that will cause them to become a better person. Therefore we are being kind by helping them become a better person. I also thought the heteronyms were supposed to be spelled the same but pronounced differently, close isn't pronounced differently. I thought of some heteronyms too
~produce( like produce a carrot & the other produce)
~desert( like the desert & desert like desert him in the house)
~Dove (like the dove and dove like he dove to the ground)
