I think this means that Even if bad things happen, always try to look at the positive side of it and you will see that there always is something good, even if its tiny. Like when my great grandmother died it was really depressing for me.Afterwards though I felt happy for her because she could now have peace and rest and forget every worry she had. The Road not taken relates to this by it picking one choice and that choice makes a great amount of difference. In Ralph's quote talks about two things and you have to either choose to look at it the bright side or the bad/sad side.
