What makes you really happy?

Tonight, I want you to think about what makes you really happy...I will tell you something that makes me really happy and I didn't even remember it until Monday after our time together...I love teaching middle school students! Having been out of the classroom for 3 years, and having taught at least 1000 students over the last 25 years, I thought that I wouldn't miss being in front of the class. After Monday's class, I realized I'm happiest professionally when I'm teaching and learning with young people like you. I love the way you ask questions, the way you talk too much and I have to get on you, I love the way you still like certain things that are somewhat childlike, but certainly appropriate and I like the way you are able to think deeply and meaningfully about things! The bottom line is I love teaching! Being a teacher, like being a mother, makes me very happy!! Now it's your turn...what makes YOU happy?
